Railfanning the Kansas City Area Part One
From November 5th - 9th, 2020, I was in Kansas City on vacation. On Friday, November 6th, I started Part One of Railfanning the Kansas City Area. I first headed out to Santa Fe JCT. in Kansas City, Kansas, then I went to the Kansas City Union Station and after I made a stop at Doc's Caboose Hobby Shop right off the former Missouri Pacific Railroad (now Union Pacific Railroad) mainline. Later in the day, I went to the Fairfax Industrial District in Kansas City, Kansas, and then back to the Missouri side of Kansas City to see a former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway Caboose that is on display.
Three Trains Going at Once at Santa Fe JCT. Kansas City, KS
Santa Fe JCT. is one of the busiest railroad junctions in the Country as you can probably see in the picture above.

Union Pacific Railroad #1763 is a SD40N Diesel-electric Locomotive built by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. It was built in April 1974 for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad (CNW). In 1995, the CNW merged with the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) and the locomotive became property of the UP. Currently, the locomotive is owned by UP.

Union Pacific Railroad #714 is a GP38-2 Diesel-electric Locomotive built by the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors. It was built in July 1980 for the Missouri Pacific Railroad (MoPac). In 1997, the MoPac officially merged with the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) and the locomotive became property of the UP. Currently, the locomotive is owned by UP.
