While visiting the Kansas City area during late June 2018, I thought I would stop by the Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad in Belton, Missouri, to see the trains on display.

Missouri Pacific Railroad #13562 is a caboose built in 1972 by International Car Corp. It served the Missouri Pacific Railroad until June 1988, when it was donated to the Smokey Hill Railway & Historical Society (Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad).

Okmulgee Northern Railway #5
American Locomotive Company 2-8-0 Consolidation Steam Locomotive
Built in 1923 by American Locomotive Company (ALCO) and was sold 10 years later to the Okmulgee Northern Railway. It served the 9.9-mile shortline in Oklahoma until 1958 when it sold to a Kansas City scrap dealer. In the 1970s it was sold to the Smokey Hill Railway & Historical Society. At one time, there was an idea to restore the locomotive but with a cost of around $500,000, that thought didn't work out. Currently, the locomotive sits on static display on the Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad

Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-10-0 Decapod Steam Locomotive
Built in 1918 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the United States Railroad Administration (USRA). Later it was sold to the Southern Railway and eventually was sold to the Saint Louis to San Francisco Railroad (FRISCO). In 1951, the FRISCO sold the locomotive to the Eagle-Picher Company. It was retired in 1965 and was donated to the Smoky Hill Railway & Historical Society. It was put on static display at the depot museum in Franklin County, Kansas. During the late 1990s the locomotive was moved to Belton, Missouri, for static display on the Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad. Currently, it's still on static display in Belton.

Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad #102
Electro-Motive Division of General Motors GP9 Diesel-electric Locomotive
Built in 1956 for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. In 1978 it was sold to the Chessie System. The Chessie System transferred it to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in September 1978. In 1987, the locomotive was retired and was sold to the Huron and Eastern Railway in 1989. Since 1995, it has been leased to the Smoky Hill Railway & Historical Society for use on the Belton, Grandview and Kansas City Railroad.

Theater Car
Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad #80 "City of Belton" is a Theater Car built in 1926 by Pullman. It was built for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway as a Observation Car. Currently, the car is owned by the Smoky Hill Railway & Historical Society (Belton, Grandview & Kansas City Railroad) and is painted in Kansas City Southern Railway colors to match the railroad's other passenger cars.
